These submarine buckles are cast of solid brass and proudly Made in the USA by the same manufacturer that supplies today active duty submarine fleet and the Navy Exchange Uniform Shops with the same oval submarine buckle. This is NOT one of the smaller knock off buckles or a lesser quality imitation. This submarine buckle is a full 3-1/4" by 2" oval. Compare that size with the knock off buckles.
